How to encrypt and upload your AIRES file?

Prepare your files by downloading them from your core processor and ensuring that the files contain the mandatory fields. You can find our comprehensive guide on formatting HERE:

Navigate to CUCollaborate.com and click “sign in”
On the left you will see “My CU Data” click there and then click “Data Management"
Click “Upload Data”
You will then see a menu appear, please click where annotated below to download the “Data Preparer” (This will prompt the download of the “Data Preparer” which takes your AIRES files and protects/encrypts any PPI)
Once downloaded, please open the application
The first page shares instructions, you can read through and then click on “Key Generator”
Once you generate a key, you can now click “Encrypt” on the left-hand side
Navigate to your file or drag your file upload both your loan and share files
Once both are loaded, click “Encrypt File” which is highlighted in blue

These are great questions! We are so excited to share with you just what this means. In effort to fulfill CUCollaborate's mission of connecting consumers with Credit Unions we created ${color}#282fe6. We've created a membership eligibility decision engine that upon a consumer answering just a few questions, we can match a consumer to one of our member credit unions that they fit within their field of membership.

So what does this mean for you? If you got an email with the subject "Someone Wants to Join Your Credit Union" that means someone came to our site and based on your FOM rules, and their answers, we've matched them your credit union. Once matched, they filled out a form and submitted that for additional information.

To track these potential new members you will need to log into your ${color}[#1a4adb](CUcollaborate software) and once logged in, click on the left hand "JoinCU" and then click on "Dashboard."

At the bottom of the "Dashboard" page, you will see the individual lead, the rule that made them eligible to join and the information they submitted.

The Data Preparer

The Data Preparer is a desktop tool that was developed as an extension for the AnalyzeCU website. Its main goal is to anonymize and encrypt personally identifiable data and other sensitive data in your AIRES files. This app also supplies decryption for files that you choose to export from the AnalyzeCU website. Encryption and decryption of files is done with an encryption key that has a *.aced file format. This encryption key can be generated via the Data Preparer app. After creating an encryption key, it should be stored in a safe place. Data Preparer is not connected to the network. This means that data or statistics are not collected.

Data Preparer actions: Data Preparer follows Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) specification for the encryption of electronic data. It is expected to become the accepted means of encrypting digital information, including financial, telecommunications, and government data. The Data Preparer uses symmetric encryption. That means that decryption process is only possible with encryption key that is always stored on the client side.

There are 3 main actions that Data Preparer does: 1) Key generation 2) Encryption of AIRES files 3) Decryption of exported files from AnalyzeCU.
