AnalyzeCU: AIRES+ Upload Instructions

Guidance on uploading AIRES+ files to AnalyzeCU

1) Prepare AIRES+ file with your members' birthdates: AnalyzeCU now has the ability to ingest member birthdates in addition to the data from a credit union’s AIRES share and loan files via a modified version of the AIRES share file that we are referring to as an “AIRES+” file. Guidance on formatting the file for upload here: AIRES and AIRES Plus Specification.pdf (windows.net). Please keep the following considerations in mind when preparing your member file for upload:
Member Count: Ensure the count of unique members in your AIRES+ file is reflective of the count that would be reported on your 5300 Call Report. In other words, please perform the same data cleaning procedures on the member file that would normally be performed when determining the number of members for your 5300 Call Report. The LID Report in AnalyzeCU uses the count of unique values in the SSN column to determine the member count (note, as explained in this article, per NCUA guidance, this field does not need to contain the actual SSN or even TIN, but it must be unique to the member and not change over time).
Addresses: Please use the member’s physical street address in the Mailing Address field in the AIRES+ file. Members with PO Boxes are automatically excluded from the count of low-income members by the NCUA because they cannot be geocoded accurately. If the only address on file for a member is a PO Box, that is fine, you can include it; otherwise, please try to substitute a physical address. Army Post Office (APO) and Fleet Post Office (FPO) addresses are permitted as the NCUA uses these addresses to inform the count of military members that qualify as low-income.

2. Install latest version of Data Preparer Tool: Before attempting to upload an AIRES+ file, please download and install the latest version of the Data Preparer tool from the Data Management screen in AnalyzeCU (when you log in, expand the AnalyzeCU section in the left-hand navigation pane, click Data Management, and then click the green “Download New Version” button in the top right corner).

3. Upload AIRES+ files to AnalyzeCU: Instructions for using the Data Preparer Tool to encrypt and upload your AIRES files to AnalyzeCU are here: AnalyzeCU: How to encrypt and upload your AIRES files.
