AnalyzeCU Information
What is AnalyzeCU?
AnalyzeCU is a geospatial platform that integrates spatial science, deep learning, and data mining overlayed with demographic and credit union member data that enables all credit unions that participate to build insights, benchmarking, awareness and understanding with actionable plans to grow their markets, products, members, and social impact; Through the use of a readily available, standardized data set, we have made data analytics accessible and actionable for all participants of the platform—helping credit unions demonstrate purpose, economic impact and relevance to the stakeholders they serve.
The platform enables credit unions to deliver on the cooperative promise of improving member financial well-being and inclusiveness. It integrates an eclectic set of data and algorithms that combines external data and CU member data to provide measurable performance over time—on a credit unions progress towards building member resilience and stability and racial inclusiveness in products, markets, and members
The platform is comprised of several components that provides credit unions insights around members, products enhanced with credit, race, ethnicity determinations--geocoded and segmented by underserved and low-income markets. The platform provides several views to assist credit unions in analyzing DEI efforts, assess progress towards meeting and maintaining grant qualifications like CDFI and LID. Early examples of these data include detailed member demographics, how far a CU is from the minimum requirements to qualify as LID or CDFI, and the benefits and positive economic impacts that each credit union provides to its members and community.
What makes AnalyzeCU unique is its accessibility to credit unions of all sizes using common AIRES file extracts. The platform can aggregate and anonymize credit union data to provide an additional level of insights on product pricing, usage and potential product gaps.
Current features:
Credit Union Total impact to members and communities report
The Total Impact report quantifies the economic impact credit unions provide to their members and communities. This impact is quantified by job sustained and created and economic contribution—which can then be filtered by race, ethnicity, product, or credit scores. Providing CUs with this invaluable information will help in pricing their lending, better assess their role in serving the credit needs of the whole community, and potentially developing new revenue streams safely.
The platform has aggregated external market data to resolve product and market differences to deliver reliable, consistent information about interest rates charged across loan types and credit score ranges to properly price against other lenders.
The platform increases its value to credit unions the more data that credit unions contribute to the platform. The ability to trend and benchmark its credit unions data allows it to identify progress towards market objectives, segment opportunities and product gaps.
Demographics report
AnalyzeCU's demographic and geographic capabilities when analyzed with AIRES product data allows credit union the ability to see product performance across demographic variables that can support growth initiatives and the credit unions progress towards achieving more market diversity or financial inclusion.
Demographics
Demographics are statistics that describe populations and their characteristics. Demographic data refers to socioeconomic information expressed statistically, including employment, education, income, marriage rates, birth and death rates, and more. Governments, corporations, and non-government organizations use demographics to learn more about a population's characteristics for many purposes, including policy development and economic market research.
Demographics are key to understanding and measuring business impact and the CU Collaborate platform unlocks this capability today. The platform helps to identify the individual members of an audience by selecting key characteristics, wants, and needs. This allows credit unions to tailor their efforts based on particular segments of their member base.
Geographics
Maps are the geographic container for the data layers and analytics you want to work with. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology provides a software framework to manage, visualize, analyze, and ultimately understand the significance of location information. Rooted in science, CU Collaborate platform uses GIS to help credit unions gain actionable insight by integrating all types of data.
The platforms’ location intelligence, powered by GIS is achieved via visualization and analysis of geospatial data. Geospatial data analysis enhances understanding, insight, decision-making, and prediction. By adding layers of geographic data—such as demographics, field of membership boundaries, and other “designated” areas—to a smart map or dashboard, credit unions can use our intelligence tools to identify where an event has taken place, understand why it is happening, and gain insight into what caused it.
The CU Collaborate platform uniquely takes credit union data, demographic data and spatial analytics to let credit unions evaluate suitability and capability, estimate and predict, interpret and understand, and much more—lending new perspectives to decision-making and growth opportunities.
Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and Low-Income Designation (LID) Pre-Qualification report
The platform enables credit unions to access financial resources from the federal government and other non-profits by using the analytics to translate complex rules into actionable reports, applications that are submission-ready; we enable credit unions to easily expand memberships by providing the optimal FOM expansion options based on the credit unions goals.
Through AnalyzeCU, credit unions get ready access to a wide range of detailed demographic information for finely drawn subsets of members and geographic areas where they might expand, products they may need and consumer segments ideal to target.
