AnalyzeCU: Social Security Numbers in AIRES Files

The "Social Security Number" field in your AIRES files does not actually have to be a literal social security number or even TIN. Per the NCUA's guidance, the field can contain either a social, tax identification number or "any unique, alphanumeric identifier within the 12-digit character limit can be used in lieu of the social security number." The key to this field is that the value uniquely identifies the person and this value will not change over time. AnalyzeCU uses the value in this field to track individuals across time series so if you are using your own unique identifier in lieu of the literal social security number please be sure that the value remains consistent over time (both going forward but also when you load historical data).
