Impact Report - AIRES Instructions

Impact Report - AIRES Instructions

To make the Impact Report we will need:

1) Your AIRES files: Loan and Share (encrypted -- see below)

2) Your payment frequency codes, loan codes, and share codes meaning

The first step is to export the correct membership data (AIRES files) from your core system. They can be saved in several formats: xls, xlsx, csv, txt, tab-delimited (w/o extension). Each file must contain only **share or loan records. ** AIRES files should not contain a header or trailer records.

Formatting Requirements:

Loan file should not have more than 39 columns. Data format in every column should match AIRES specification requirement. It is very important that in the first column for Loan file all records have “L” value so that system can identify the type of the file.

**Sample of Loan file: **

Share files should not have more than 20 columns. Data format in every column should match AIRES specification requirement. It is very important that in the first column for Share file all records have “S” value so that system can identify the type of the file.

Encryption Process:

Once you have created your AIRES files, you are ready to encrypt them in order to protect Personal Identifiable Information (PII) from AIRES files. For this, CUCollaborate developed Data Preparer, a desktop tool which the main goal is to remove and encrypt Personal Identifiable Information (PII) from AIRES files, such as SSN and Account Numbers. Data Preparer is not connected to the network, which ensures that no PII data can be collected while encrypted.

You need to download and install Data Preparer on your personal computer (PC):

Windows = https://datapreparer.blob.core.windows.net/prod/AnalyzeCU_Data_Preparer.msi

Mac = https://datapreparer.blob.core.window

  • Once downloaded, please open the application
  • The first page shares instructions, you can read through and then click on “Key Generator”
  • Once you generate a key, you can now click “Encrypt” on the left-hand side
  • Navigate to your file or drag your file upload both your loan and share files
  • Once both are loaded, click “Encrypt File”
  • Progress bars will appear and upon successful completion, it will highlight in orange
  • If it turns red, there is an error or issue with your file
  • Please review the error and fix the file accordingly and re-upload the file
  • Once successfully encrypted, look at the location of your files and locate them in preparation for the next steps

Only move on if you have successfully encrypted your files and they are now in .acmd format From here you will use the secure folder that we sent you to upload your files.
