Select Groups, whether occupational (employers) or associational, have to be within the service area (typically 25-30 miles) of a qualifying service facility that your credit union has an ownership interest in. If you have an ownership interest in CO-OP or another shared branch or ATM network you can actually use that network's locations to meet the service facility qualification.
